Yesterday, Legoland

Hiding behind the curtain of waterfall on the exit from the Amazing Mazes, choking on the smell of the chlorinated cascade, but at least deafened enough by the falling sheet of water that the continual looping of Now is the Month of Maying from the middle of the Tudor maze is finally, blessedly inaudible, I found myself wondering exactly what I was doing there. Carrying the push chair, mainly, it turned out. Looby Loo would not hold my hand. So M and she stuck together and I trailed behind, encumbered beast of burden. Probably better that way: there're a quite a number of the attractions you wouldn't get me on for significant quantities of hard cash.
I like Legoland (I must do to have visited three times, the first one childless). Even crammed with school parties plus the families and inevitable push chairs, it's an OK place. Stays calm and reasonably well-organised. Though not seeing from the outside of one ride just how long the queue was left me sitting for the best part of an hour unable to wander off. It's even good-tempered, bearing in mind the large number of very small children. I have little to compare it with, having not visited another theme park. Fear of heights, and lets be honest snobbishness, rather rules them off my list of preferred outings. LL loves the rides and her dad will take her on ones I wouldn'tcouldn't go on.
Did get a short wander round Miniland, which is my favourite bit. There still seems to be a Sinclair C5 on London's roads. Can it be the last one in existence?! I don't recall seeing the South American buskers before in London, very cute, panpipe music and all.
The Millennium Dome I don't remember from last time. It's probably getting more visitors in miniature. Sadly, the London Eye's not yet finished. It'll be a fine addition. Wembley's two towers still there. There was a match still being played in the stadium, unlike the real thing. Will the model be demolished when the original is? Took some photos of these bits.
Mainly, it was too hot, a little bit on the busy side, and there seemed to be more technical problems than I recall.
For LL, for whose benefit we went after all, it was a good day. She got to drive virtual cars and then apply the same principal--drive sideways against the edge of the circuit,-- to the kiddy driving school. She needs to learn to look where she's going, too!

Today, Rheumatologist

Unnecessarily scared, I'm sure.
