Today's word in The Word Spy (one of our favourite hang-outs) is "type T personality". The ravens have, for one day only, characterized themselves at types D, I + M with a side order of O + W!

So, in a spirit of pure irrelevance as regards events in the rest of the messed-up world (and with a bit of editing down of options*: why fifteen maximum?), anyone care to classify themselves/ves? (The ravens promise only to cross match with blood groups, shake the whole lot up in a bag, and take a lucky dip to come to no conclusion whatsoever. Really we just wanted to play around with a poll.)

[Poll #119959]

* Omitted: J (who cares?), S (don't we all?), V (we're all more interesting than that?) and Z (duplication of B?).

A legal perspective on the rules of engagement: Joshua Rozenberg in the Torygraph.

The discussion of combatant or non-combatant status has a bearing on the issues of the language used to describe the Iraqi forces (as described by Arundhati Roy yesterday).

Useful set of links on war law from the Rozenberg piece too.
