The cheap (actually free) bit is the six bags of leaves stacked beside the back door. After the wind and rain today, we'll be clearing the same areas again in the next few days. We could have a good stash of leafmould in a year or so's time.
The expensive bit is the order for two apple trees (one eater, one cooker), 30 strawberry plants (10 early, 10 mid-season, 10 late), plus some shallots and garlic.
Looks like we're about to embark on a massive digging session. Plus: cordons? espaliers?

Date: 2003-11-13 03:03 pm (UTC)We've had enough wind and wet this week, I could fill as many bags of leaves again if I felt like it: sycamores have big leaves. So does the mulberry.
